maintained by the Yellowhead Outdoor Recreation Association.

McKirdy Meadows
Accessed from the top of Five Mile Hill above Valemount, the
trail-head can be reached by skis. From the trail-head the alpine
can be reached in two hours on skin-clad skis. There is a fully
equipped cabin in the alpine.
Clemina
The trail begins 18 kms south of Valemount (parking on east side
of Hwy 5). Access to the cabin is reached by skinned skis. Turn
left onto a brushed trail at three kilometres. Rigorous skiing
with avalanche hazard, this area is recommended for experienced
backcountry skiers only. Transceivers required.
West Ridge
Access via helicopter or slashed ribboned trail network. A
rigorous three to six hour trip recommended only for those with
backcountry experience. A fully equipped cabin, for use by
backcountry skiers, is located at the 6,500 foot level.
Camp Creek
Groomed trails for every level of skier. Located 14Kms south of
Valemount, 2½ kms off Highway 4 on the Camp Creek Road. Ample
parking is available at the trail-head, with a cook shelter and
picnic tables.
Jackman Flats
Located north of Valemount on Highway 5, offering a cross-country
trail system for all skiing abilities. This area as ample parking
and groomed trails.
